Air Cage, 2026
paper, ink, spray paint
55 x 22 inches
Cutting and pulping parts of the paper and then re-bonding the pulp to its manufactured origin is a form of self-consumption and renewal. Mark-making and surface hover between registers: graphic and atmospheric, flat and dimensional. In absorbing the ink beneath it, the pulp internalized the color, so those segments are pigmented from within rather than coated on the surface.
