Landing Moment, 2025
Metal, paper, spray paint, acrylic
70 x 40 x 40 inches

The instant between freefall and firm ground is a paradoxical space where parachute's kiss with the earth meets the undeniable pull of gravity. I welded the metal base and suspension lines with reference to botanical growth pattern, and the airy, fringed canopy is made of punctured and texturized cotton paper that lets light through.
